Electronic voting may be a good example of how newer doesn't always mean better. For some of the reasons mentioned in your post, I'm not convinced that electronic voting is foolproof. <BR/><BR/>Having some of the ladies from your neighborhood carefully handcounting slips with marked boxes (which is how Centerville did municipal elections last fall) may be more secure and cheaper.
